| Traffic I am so glad that, in spite of all the driving I do, I almost never end up staring at brake lights. This morning was an exception. One lane on the west-going span of the Bay Bridge was closed and traffic slowed down for miles. I got to work half an hour or more later than usual.
I can barely imagine how I managed when I drove on the DC Beltway Mon-Fri!

| I'm gonna buy some ice cream!!!!!
Looks like I'm going to buy a bunch of this and share it with my friends!
Ben & Jerry say: In partnership with Freedom to Marry we are gathered here to celebrate Vermont and all the other great states where loving couples of all kinds are free to marry legally. We have ceremoniously dubbed our iconic flavor, Chubby Hubby to Hubby Hubby in support, and to raise awareness of the importance of marriage equality. Check out our press release. What a wonderful thing to do!!!!!

| Marsh Mallows One thing I look forward to every year is the appearance of the marsh mallows in the marshes along the Choptank River. The river brightens up with the sparkle of thousands of blossoms.
Here's a close-up of the mallows. They remind me of "Rose of Sharon" and make me think of my little friend next door when I was in 2nd grade -- Sharon. The marsh mallow (also known as "rose mallow") and rose of sharon are both members of the hibiscus family.

I find it a pleasure to cross the little drawbridge over the Choptank the month or so these flowers are in bloom.

| Income Disparity Look at this graph! The income gap between the poor and rich is significantly larger than it's been any time since the Great Depression!
University of California, Berkeley Professor Emmanuel Saez. New York Times columnist and Nobel Prize winning economist Paul Krugman called the numbers "truly amazing." Data goes through 2007.

| Working Underwater Well, not exactly. But I've decorated my office space with suggestions of ocean life. Cover for the overhead flourescents.
 Clown fish mobile.
