Civil Marriage is a Civil Right

While I respect the rights of particular religions to determine what constitutes marriage as a religious covenant, marriage as a civil institution should hinge only on the civil rights and privileges of the particular citizens.

Gone flying, be home soon
Well, now that's the kind of note I like to come home to.  Boogie Man was out flying with his pilot friend.  In fact, he got to take off and land the Cherokee 140 twice!  All those years of playing Flight Simulator are paying off.
We can't afford another expensive hobby (like owning a plane), but it's so nice that he's having a chance to practice flying in a real plane and the coolest flight instructor imaginable.
This isn't the very plane, but this is the same model.

Yay, Boogie Man!  He missed the power lines and came down the grass runway in style.

The earth needs a new operating system, you are the programmers and we need it within a few decades.

Slow Progress

But progress just the same.  My new home office is getting ready for me.

Too Cold!

Darn it, I sure don't like this cold weather.  We've had too many days in the 20s and below.  I'm ready for Spring.  I'm tired of feeling chilly inside my house.  Grumph!  I keep thinking about what it must be like to be homeless, though, in this kind of weather -- never mind homeless with small kids.  Wow, I'm so spoiled, aren't I?  My brief association with the shelter program at my church has left me with an idea what hardship really means.

On the good side of this, the seven chirpulators (a/k/a chicks) we have in the house are all growing well and will, hopefully, be moving outside to the chicken house sometime in March.  They're cute, but messy, and they're living in the room that will be my new office once we clear it of tools and chickens.
